MLB Power Rankings.

1) Red Sox - Very good pitching 1-5, the bullpen is also very good with Okajima and Papelbon. They have one of the best offenses in baseball, and have a great chance to repeat.

2) Indians - C.C. Sabathia and Fausto Carmona are one of the sickest 1-2 punches in the league. They have a balanced offense and a good bullpen.

3) Mets - You could have them from 3-5, but I just like them better than the rest, Santana was a huge addition, but the outfielders have to stay healthy, and the bullpen doesn't look great.

4) Yankees - I really like Phillip Hughes and Ian Kennedy, the offense is aging though, so I could see a big injury affecting them, the bullpen doesn't inspire me either.

5) Tigers - Pitching and defense win games, and the Tigers are a little short on both. Miguel Cabrera is a pretty bad defensive 3B, and Curtis Granderson is hurting. The rotation is very shaky after Verlander, and the bullpen doesn't scare anyone, 2006 White Sox anyone?

6) Phillies - Killer offense, but their pitching is awful. Cole Hamels and Brett Meyers are a good 1-2 punch, but everything after that is a question mark, and the bullpen isn't very good with a hurting Brad Lidge.

7) Mariners - No one seems to talk about them, but they have one of the most balanced line-ups in baseball, a great starting 5, and an awesome bullpen.

8) Diamondbacks - They have possibly the best starting staff in baseball, and their young players should start stepping it up, they have an effective pen too.

9) Angels - Even without Escobar, they're a good pitching staff (picking up Garland looks good now), they have pitching depth with Ervin Santana and Joe Saunders, and the offense and defense will be improved with Torii Hunter.

10) Cubs - The starting 5 isn't the best around, but they have a good bullpen and a good offense, if Kerry Wood stays healthy they should win the division.

11) Rockies - I don't think they'll be as good as last year, but they have a great offense and a young stud closer.

12) Padres - They too have a great starting rotation and bullpen, the offense improved in the 2nd half.

13) Braves - The Braves have a good starting 3, but after that it's a bit of an adventure with injury prone hampton and young jurrjens, the offense should hit though.

14) Brewers - If Ben Sheets is healthy all season, they'll win the division. They have good young pitching, and if Gagne pitches like he did in LA and TEX, they'll have a good bullpen, we all know about the offense too.

15) White Sox - They have a great 1-2 punch in Buehrle and Vazquez, Contreras has had success in the past and Danks and Floyd have potential. The offense and bullpen should both be much improved over last season.

16) Rays - They have a good young 1-2-3 in Kazmir, Shields, and Garza, they have a great young line-up, the bullpen is the only thing holding this team down.

17) The Blue Jays just need to stay healthy, but they never do. Vernon Wells is a good hitter, and Alex Rios is great, Roy Halladay and A.J. Burnett are an awesome 1-2, and Dustin McGowan showed a lot of promise.

18) Dodgers - I don't get the hype about this team, they have a good starting rotation, but the offense and defense aren't anything special

19) Reds - They have GREAT young talent, Cueto and Volquez have a ton of potential, and Homer Bailey has some of the best stuff you'll ever see, the offense isn't great, and the bullpen is iffy.

20) Twins - You can never count these guys out, Liriano is a great talent, and Gomez could be an awesome lead off hitter, the bullpen is always great and Joe Nathan in the best closer in the game, IMO.

21) Athletics - I really like this team, Ryan Sweeney could be a great hitter, Daric Barton will be a OBP machine, and they have some great young starters in Blanton and Harden.

22) Cardinals - I think they'll have a bad first half, but when both Mulder and Carpenter come back they'll really take off, I expect their young hitters to improve.

23) Rangers - They have a good offense, but as always the pitching is a big question. Josh Hamilton is a great talent, and I think he'll have a .300-35-120 year.

24) Nationals - They have a good line-up with Ronnie Belliard, Dmitri Young, Ryan Zimmerman and Lastings Milledge. I'm not sure about their pitching though.

25) Astros - They have a pretty good line-up, but seriously lack pitching in both the rotation and the bullpen, they need to try and get Oswalt some help.

26) Orioles - They made out big in the Bedard trade, they have a good young CF in Jones, a closer in Sherrill, and the Tejada trade got them some other good pieces, Melvin Mora has looked great in spring too.

27) Royals - I don't like this team at all, Alex Gordon looked lost last year, and their defense isn't great, I don't belive Gil Meche will repeat last season's success and they don't have 4th or 5th starters either.

28) Giants - Tim Lincecum and Matt Cain are great pitchers, but the rest of the team is pretty bad. They don't have a 3rd baseman, a SS(that can hit), a 1B or a bullpen.

29) Marlins - I feel bad for Hanley Ramirez and Dan Uggla, as they're both great players. Cameron Maybin was assigned to the minors, which was the right move, Andrew Miller needs to learn how to control his stuff if he wants to be successful.

30) Pirates - I like Freddy Sanchez, Jason Bay and their top 2 pitchers, but there's a dramatic drop in everything after that. I expect Gorzelanny, Bay, Sanchez and Nady to be moved by the deadline.
